Issue 99 of The Brass Band Bridge is available for download
Doug Yeo, Editor of the Brass Band Bridge outlines the changes that have be made to the publication, effective this issue.
With this in mind the current issue of The Brass Band Bridge, Issue 99, is the first to be offered only in an electronic format. As a PDF file, it can be viewed online or can be downloaded, viewed on your own computer or printed out for reading. Moving to this format allows The Brass Band Bridge to do some significant new things:
- The Brass Band Bridge will be published more frequently and be able to meet deadlines more easily.
- The Brass Band Bridge will contain timely information that can be distributed quickly to the membership.
- The Brass Band Bridge will be published in full color.
- The Brass Band Bridge will be published in low and high resolution formats, allowing readers to easily download and print The Brass Band Bridge depending on the speed of their Internet connection and the amount of RAM in their printer.
- There will be a web based component to each issue of The Brass Band Bridge including a user controlled slide show, allowing for publication and viewing of high resolution photographs.
- The Brass Band Bridge will contain web links and take full advantage of PDF technology.
- Publishing The Brass Band Bridge more frequently will give our advertisers more exposure.
- NABBA will save a tremendous amount of money which can be used to provide other benefits to the membership.
