Brass Band of Columbus

Now in its twenty-second year, the Brass Band of Columbus (the BBC) exists as a self-supporting community band. The band’s instrumentation is brass and percussion only, following the tradition of British brass bands. Membership of this 45 piece band includes thirty active or retired music educators and a wide range of other professions. The BBC was founded in 1984 by Dr. Paul Droste (pictured right), Emeritus Professor of Music at The Ohio State University and former director of the OSU Marching Band. After serving as co-interim directors since Dr. Droste’s retirement in December 2004, Tim Jameson was selected as the Director in July 2005.
